Discover a world of relaxation and serenity in the heart of Batroun

Domaine des Oliviers is an exclusive guesthouse set in landscaped olive gardens in Smar Jbeil, one of the oldest villages in the Batroun District. The guesthouse consists of five thoughtfully built houses set in a vast landscape, dotted with olive trees, and connected by a vast, colourful central garden.

The architecture transports you through three generations — starting from the 1500s, through the 1860s, and then to 2020. It is built from solid wood, hand-carved stones, clay roof tiles, wooden beams, window shutters, and traditional stone cuts.

Throughout the houses you will find authentic pieces of Lebanese heritage — a kibbeh mortar, a wheat thresher, copper utensils, antiquities, and statues.

The interior was meticulously chosen and collected by Raymonde over more than twenty years. Raymonde remodelled and hand-painted the majority of the furniture and accessories herself.

Rooms and lobbies are dressed with wooden beams, antique chandeliers, hand-painted closets and drawers, lace curtains, crochet and macramé, hand-painted Mexican sinks, and mosaic tiles.
